Defying gravity: a Kilimanjaro adventure for charity with Altezza Travel

’Fly The Roof’ is the inspiring story of four young Kiwis: Harry, Ryan, Chris, and Guido, who stepped outside of their comfort zones to embark on an extraordinary journey in a foreign continent for a noble cause. In September 2019, this daring team took on the challenge to learn paragliding, scale the Roof of Africa (Mt. Kilimanjaro), and attempt to fly from the summit of the world’s tallest freestanding mountain. Their core mission was to raise $40,000 NZD ($25,000 USD) through Wings of Kilimanjaro for the Emboreet primary school in Simanjiro, Tanzania. Here at Altezza Travel, we were honored to be selected by the Wings of Kilimanjaro team to expertly outfit and manage this awe-inspiring expedition due to our extensive expertise on Kilimanjaro.
