Hands down my favourite album of all time, Justice is a close second but this is like the stars aligned and the whole band was perfect. I never knew that Lars borrowed some symbols in the studio from Def Leppard’s Rick Allen while he was recovering from his accident. Also they down-tuned some of the guitar parts when recording to play them slower so when they brought them up to speed they’d be in tune and really tight.
