Another LTTE submarine found 23rd July 2009

Another submarine concealed by the LTTE terrorists has been uncovered from Wellamulliwaikkal.. Our Representative Sujith Vithanapathirana said the troops recently recovered another submarine of the sea tigers. It was hidden in the deep sea, about 600 metres off the Mullaitivu coast. Such a submarine was also recovered several weeks ago by the Security Forces. Troops of the 19th Sinha Regiment of the 681st Brigade commanded by Lt. Col. Lalantha Gamage succeeded in recovering the submarine. It received the assistance of the Military intelligence. This clearly indicates how the LTTE attempted to cover up all their strategies. Troops of Task Force Eight commanded by Colonel Ravipriya are continuing their search operations in areas such as Puthukudiyiruppu, Wellamulliwaikkal and Puthumathalan, based on a clear strategy..
