276 - Brass for Gold / Repairing the Breach - Walter Veith

Like Rehoboam, have we accepted brass for gold? Have Jesuit teachings, such as spiritual direction, replaced Christ’s Gospel in modern Christianity? Who are the founders of the Best Bible colleges and seminaries that are training the most popular pastors and evangelists today? Whose doctrines are the theologians teaching in these schools? Why are many of these Christian leaders connected to national policy think tanks like the Council on Foreign Relations and Roman Catholic military orders such as the Knights of Malta? How are they contributing to the establishment of a new world order? Has Protestant Christianity lost hold of Christ’s Gospel? Have we traded the only Gospel that can regenerate the heart for something else? Have we embraced a social justice gospel in place of Christ’s Gospel which reaches individual hearts? Have we exchanged a Gospel of gold for one of brass? In this episode, the typology of Solomon and his son Rehoboam are unravelled with respect to their application to the religious world of today. Rehoboam manufactured shields of brass when the king of Egypt confiscated the gold shields that Solomon had made. Rehoboam took greater care of the brass shields than he did of the shields of gold. Similarly, the modern religious world is satisfied with substituting a gospel of brass for one of gold. In this lecture, Walter Veith investigates the various institutes of learning in the evangelical world, their doctrines and origins, and allows the stones themselves to cry out regarding the annihilation of the pure Gospel of gold.
