ZOYA - Just Let Me - Diana [OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO]

This is my very first fully composed song, that’s why I am very excited but very nervous at the same time. Throughout my life, I was always trying to write some kind of music here and there, be it some sort of a short piece for piano, parts of the songs, or vocal lines for my previous bands, but I never had the courage to write an entire song, I mean how could I dare to do that, I never felt myself worthy of witting music. When I started this project in 2020 I had in mind maybe eventually I will try witting my own songs, and I already had many ideas, but I couldn’t finish any of them, until one evening in September 2022. It was probably a muse who visited me and insisted to write this song, because I can’t explain it in any other way, as part after part, note after note was appearing in my head faster than I could even write them down. Anyway, no matter what it was but I am truly grateful for that because I was able to start doing what I wanted to do for almost the whole of my life. My husband said: “This song is very you“, and it’s probably true, it’s weird, it’s raw, it’s experimental, and it’s not for everyone, which means I don’t expect you all to like it, but I am proud of it, and it is the most important thing because I was always my toughest critic. A few words about the video, initially I didn’t want to make a video for it, but as we all know the songs released with a video have more attention, so I figured that I have to do something, and that’s why it was made in very short deadlines. Even though it doesn’t have a proper script, it has a lot of symbolism, which is all connected to the title, the meaning of the song, and even the date of release. So everything you see in this video is not accidental it has a meaning, even though it may look like a random set of footage. If you’ve read this far thank you so very much, I really appreciate you!
