Right now in Hongkong! A super typhoon with 245km/h winds is causing chaos
Strong winds and heavy rain from Super Typhoon Yagi pounded Hong Kong on Friday, closing schools for a second day and canceling flights as one of the strongest storms to hit Asia this year made landfall along the tropical coast of Hainan.
With maximum sustained winds of 245 kph (152 mph) near its center, Yagi is the world’s second-strongest tropical cyclone of 2024 so far.
