Hubert Rutkowski interviews Natalia Trull, professor at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. She is Eva Gevorgyan’s teacher (finalist and prizewinner of the 18th Chopin Competition 2021).
Natalie Trull’s career began in 1983 with the 1st prize at the International Piano Competition in Belgrade. Her biggest competition success followed three years later: She won the silver medal at the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow.
Natalia Trull has over 50 piano concertos in her repertoire, but the one she has performed the most and worldwide is the B minor Concerto by Peter I. Tchaikovsky. This pianist is particularly marked by two outstanding appearances: in the Hollywood Bowl with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra under Eri Klas and in the Suntory Hall in Tokyo with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra under Koizumi Kazuhiro. Born in St. Petersburg, this graduate of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory today teaches there as a professor. She also holds a visiting professorship at the Como Accademia
