North On Highway 5 | DJ Justin Ocean

Introducing the first Classic Trance DJ mix from Justin Ocean. This uplifting trance mix from the late 90s through early 2000s encapsulates the spirit of trance at one of it’s highest points and makes an excellent journey. And a great road trip. Saint Etienne - Club Mix | Paul Van Dyke Welcome to the first mix I ever crafted (not counting that sleepover radio dub from 4th grade.) While the original mix was thrown together with almost no mixing or mastering knowledge, but plenty of spit, vinegar and a solid playlist, I’ve wanted for some time to go back and mix it proper and let this album be all it was meant to be. I tracked down (get ?) all of the original songs, in their original mix versions, with a higher quality update. The original playlist order is even kept intact with the sole exception of the insertion of .’s “Train Of Thought“ to help bring the runtime up to a full album mix. “Train Of Thought“ reflects the albums Spirit perfectly and is a shining example of pure trance at it’s best from that time period. Keeping the original playlist order was a challenge, as the songs are terrific trance classics individually but weren’t originally selected for how they fit together. Some crazy glue was needed. Please enjoy this retro classic trance rollercoaster from start to finish with some of the best artists of that time period including Paul Van Dyke, Ferry Corsten, Fluke, Tilt, Dave Aude on remix duties, and more. Special thanks to Matthew Stanley for the playlist sourcing and inspiration. Christian EDM Fans! This retro trance classic mix is an excellent worship set for an uplifting God experience and spiritual journey. “Nothing But You“, and “Into The Light“ are great lyrically and great for the spirit, while the others are instrumental open doors for worship and celebration. Did You Know? The title which has remained unchanged came from Highway 5 in central Missouri, specifically the road to Lake of the Ozarks with Camdenton as a stop along the way. It’s a beautiful trip. Later the phrase took on a double meaning referring to a life traveling towards God (north) through his grace (the number 5). Did You Know? The beautiful vocals “Jeg har ingenting, men jeg har alt når jeg har deg“ in “Nothing But You“ actually translate to “I have nothing, but I have everything when I have you.“ They are from two Norweigen singers, Jan Johnston and Kym Marsh. Did You Know? Audacity was the software used for the original mix. Did You Know? Many CD’s were created and distributed to friends with some kept in reserve. Not a single one can now be found anywhere. The original DJ name used for the original mix was “messiah“ with only a lower case m and the phrase “mixed by messiah“ on every cd. Did You Know? My very own daughter thought the lyrical word “Amsterdam“ from Ferry Corsten’s “Rock Your Body Rock“ was “hamster jam“. That happened. “Rock Your Body Rock“ is a great track but needed a brief lyrical edit to be completely clean.
