Man Tries to Stop Son’s Arrest With Excavator

* (Disclaimer: This video content is intended for educational and informational purposes only) * Hardwick, Vermont — A Vermont man was caught on dash cam video using an excavator to attack state troopers while they were taking his son into custody. It occurred on June 14, in Hardwick as state police were arresting 24-year-old Brandon Tallman on burglary and assault charges stemming from a prior incident, when 52-year-old Wayne Tallman tried to save his son from getting arrested. His wife, 48-year-old Amy Tallman, was also trying to resist the police from taking their boy into custody. All three family members were taken into custody. Wayne Tallman was subsequently arrested. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of 11 years in prison. He was ordered held without bail at Northeast Correctional Complex in St. Johnsbury. If convicted, Brandon Tallman faces a maximum sentence of 41 years and six months in prison. He was released to the custody of his mother.
