Making a Paul Sellers Router Plane from a Kit | Paul Sellers

When Paul saw the prices of router planes kept going up, and there wasn’t a reliable source of new ones available, he knew he had to do something. So, he set about designing something people could make for themselves. The first part of that plan came about last year when we published a two-part series showing how to make a router from wood and off-the-shelf parts, plus a couple of custom-made metal parts: Now, we are adding the option to buy a kit so that you can focus on the wooden parts alone which suit a lot of woodworkers who don’t want to source or make the metal parts. This video will show you how to make the wooden parts and use the kit we have for sale here: Bookmarks: Layout: 02:47 Creating a Drill Bit Guide: 07:31 Boring the Centre Hole: 10:10 Making the Blade Recess 13:06 Cutting the angle for the up stand 22:39 Layou
