Walk Through Walls was formed in February of 2001 by five guys from Houma, Louisiana. With influences from bands such as, At The Drive In, Thursday, and You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead, Sparta, Sonic Youth, Modest Mouse, The Police, Fugazi, Pavement, The Mars Volta, The Pixies, U2, Hum, Braid, along with some jazz influence from nearby New Orleans it is nearly impossible to place WTW into any one genre of music. The best way to describe them would be guitar driven indie rock, with a heavy post-punk influence. Having songs with peaceful harmonies to raw in your face power, along with their high energy live shows, WTW will have you breathlessly anticipating their every move, while at the same time leave you begging for more.
