S Extension, W EOL & E Multi Level Garage All Grow Larger! 6 Dec 2023 Giga Texas Update (08:15AM)

Gigafactory Texas on 6 December 2023! This is where Model Y’s and Cyber Truck production happens! Beautiful day to fly at Giga Texas today, but what everyone wants to know is can I tell the Cybertruck production rate, and the answer is it seems low to me still, as only 4 Cybertrucks in the outbound lot and several Release Candidate versions being used by Tesla employees all over the site. On the other hand, Model Y production continues at a rapid pace, with a possible bump up in production rate per week from what I could see. Timestamps: Drone flight overview with discussion & illustration: 0:06 to 3:46 Drone flight footage & infographics: 4:08 to 34:31 Some highlights around the site today include: The West Support Facility continues to see grade work on the far southwest corner with gravel application beginning. The paving of the new outbound lot continues, as does new trenching to prepare a new section for lighting. On the north side of the EOL facility, we see a lot of work with electrical conduit and concrete vaults, and more trenching and water pipe installation along the west side. On the south end, preparation for footing mounts for the large, covered Supercharging station continues, as does a heavy-duty electrical conduit system and several large concrete vaults. On the south end building extension area, we see more steel assembly of the first large structure, but also an expansion of steel erection on another new section. Footing work continues, now south of the southwest angled corner of the main factory, while work on the perimeter grade beam grows more to the west along the south end. Crews were also working on the last major panel replacements on the existing south concrete wall section above the Cybertruck EOL exit area today. The multi-level parking garage has grown noticeably in the past 48 hours, growing more to the north and the east, emanating out from the first “corner“ section of the eventually huge structure. We get to see one of the “double T“ concrete floor panels lifted and placed by the large yellow crane, while more crews prepare footings on the eastern half of the construction site. On the roof of the Casting machine section of the factory, we see crews installing the second of what will eventually be about 15 ventilation duct work attached to the ducted fan units and part of the new system to provide more ventilation of the casting machine area. Also, on this northwest corner of casting, we see the NawKaw crews at work pressure washing the exterior concrete panels in preparation of applying the white stain. This is the last major section of the original main building exterior walls that need to have the stain applied, and then (at least for a little while until the extension is completed) the factory will once again be the same color all around! On the east side of Casting, I see several hundred rear Cybertruck castings and many more Model Y castings waiting for use in assembling vehicles. The lack of front Cybertruck castings suggests this is still a limiting factor to the production of Cybertrucks and may be why we are not yet seeing many Cybertrucks in the outbound lot ready for transportation. Finally, I fly far to the north end of the site to show the status of all the production equipment, platforms and related items waiting for installation inside Giga Texas. It is highly likely much of this equipment is part of the next generation vehicle that will be produced here at Giga Texas before we see a similar production line set up at Giga Mexico, probably in 2025.
