Knightmare - Complete Clear (Amiga) 4K

Okay, this is a single segment run of quite possibly the hardest and most unforgiving dungeon crawler to ever grace the Atari ST/Amiga. Unlike Dungeon Master or even Crowther’s earlier hit game, Captive, this one throws you right in at the deep end and pulls no punches. Indeed, I didn’t finish it back in the day, getting stuck partway through the third quest. (^_^;) Anyway, this run was only possible in the time by exploiting the placement of certain keys, thus allowing you to skip out the nastier puzzles, especially towards the end of the game. The genie is a godsend as well, mainly for the ’Power’ & ’Quicken’ spells, which help make short work of the more magic immune enemies. I try to keep grinding to a minimum between quests, just enough to use the highest attack on each weapon. Well, I figure the trees were probably put in the game for just that purpose since they rarely attack and do no real damage even if they do. (^_^)
