Riding Lake Shore Limited 49 6/28/14 and 6/29/14 Part 3 - Albany to Chicago

Upon arriving at Albany, we were allowed to step off the train for a while as preparations were made to connect the two halves of the train. During this time, I was able to see Maple Leaf 64 pulling in about 25 minutes late, led by P42DC 45. Thanks to our late arrival and timing, we had to wait for quite a while for the engine pulling our train to even be disconnected, revealing itself to be P32AC-DM 709. Once that was done, the Boston half of the Lake Shore Limited backed down to be hooked up to the New York half. By the time we left Albany, we were running well over an hour behind schedule. After having dinner in the Dining Car, I was able to film the evening sky as it was tinted pink by the last bit of sunlight for the day. After this, the ride went pretty smoothly for most of the rest of New York, until we started approaching Rochester.
