Game of Thrones S01E01 - Direwolf pups

Upon their return, the Starks find a dead stag, sigil of House Baratheon. A bit farther they find a dead direwolf and her surviving pups. The direwolf has part of the stag’s rack in her side. Noting that the direwolf is the sigil of the Stark family and there are as many pups as the Stark children (even an albino runt for Jon), they take the pups in as companions.
