Domenico Scarlatti: Sonata in E minor, K. 15, played on a double-manual harpsichord by Ryan Layne Whitney. This is a custom-made harpsichord built in the late 1970s, which I inherited in 1990. It is about 7 feet long, with 2 manuals. The case is walnut, the naturals are cherry, and the accidentals are oak. It has 4 ranks of jacks and a disposition of 8’ x 8’ x 4, with a coupler and a buff stop (two 8’ ranks on back manual, one of which I have voiced softly, as well as the buff stop; 8’ and 4’ ranks on
