Title reads: “Downing Street“. This item appears to have the correct soundtrack but incorrect visuals. Commentator talks of the Cabinet assembling in Downing Street for an emergency meeting and talks of how in 24 hours the whole political face of Europe has been changed and the hope for world peace receiving a shattering blow. (Refers to invasion of Austria by German troops.) Visuals show members of the Austrian Government: Dr Ludwig Adamovitch - Minister of Justice, Dr Matshnigg - State Secretary of Agriculture, Julius Raab - Minister of Finances and Adolf Watzen - State Secretary for the Protection of Workers. This footage appears in the story ’GERMANY AND AUSTRIA’ in the same issue. Brief shots of German soldiers marching out of a barracks and along a street; a little girl in the foreground of one of the shots pretends to march along with them.
