We are guests at the Museum Railway STAR and after the ride from Stadskanaal to Veendam () it is now time for the return ride. The train is pulled by the ex-NS 2278 from 1957. At 38:24 our train is filmed again by Scott’s Railroad Videos. The Stadskanaal Rail Foundation (STAR, better known as Museum Railway STAR) was established in June 1992 with the aim of preserving the Veendam – Stadskanaal – Musselkanaal railway line. At the time, this railway was slated to be demolished. Since the foundation of the STAR, the volunteers have worked hard on the realization of the museum railway. Definitely worth a visit!
