Titles read: “TODAY’S LIGHT BRIGADE!“ Somewhere in England. Various good shots show the work of a searchlight battalion. The soldiers are seen at work during an air raid, shining the searchlight on a plane. As daylight comes, they get ready for bed and go to sleep. Several shots of the men cleaning and maintaining the searchlight equipment. In daylight training sessions a man sits in a chair, looking up at the sky with his binoculars. Sound detectors are seen in use, described as “the discoveries of science“. C/Us of the men of the battalion. The men are seen relaxing in their hut, playing snooker (billiards?), shove ha’penny and petting their dogs. When an air raid starts they run to action stations; brief shots of searchlight in action.
