PECKING ORDER - Traditional Indian wooden pecking birds!

These are traditional wooden toys from India and maybe found in many parts of the world. That is what makes them universal and fun. As you spin the toys the hanging weight pulls the birds necks and they appear to be eating grain. The animals seem to move their heads and tails. These are dynamic toys painted brightly in the colors of Rajasthan. These traditional toys use no plastic and are still loads of fun! This work was supported by IUCAA and Tata Trust.
