Video of a beautiful and very unique animal, only found in Platypus. The unusual appearance of this egg-laying, duck-billed, beaver-tailed, otter-footed, mammal, baffled European naturalists when they first encountered it, with some considering it an elaborate fraud. Platypus are the only mammals that lay eggs instead of giving birth to live young. In addition, males possess a horny spur on their ankles, which is connected to a venom gland in the upper leg, making the Platypus one of the few venomous mammals.
