I think this was aired in 1987. They dumped the whole Punk thing in an attempt to go mainstream with a new ’clean cut’ persona with Animal struggling to shed his deep rooted stage style, it must have been difficult to avoid using the Mic as a fallic symbol after all those years and in this case, modeling himself on David hasselhoff. Thinking back... I don’t ever remember experiencing this level of disappointment, I thought “Oh shit, Punk IS dead!“ Just to clear things up... I didn’t post this to have a go at ANL. I truly believe they are a great band, I fucking love em... However, You can’t hide from the truth and for those who can’t believe this is the same band, you’ll just have to trust me... That is the same hairy grunting fucker you’ve come to know as ’Animal’.
