Mürmurio / Starcave Nebula (France / Canada) - S/T (Split 2022)

Excellent rotten alliance between these two brilliant projects of the rawest spheres of modern Black Metal. Mürmurio conjures here his third output, after one demo and a split with Drug Darkness. The solo project of Tksräa M., the most prolific entity of the Garde Noire circle, here joined by Sterile as guest on synthesizers. Continuing the same path that the project has been treading, here Mürmurio delivers a single track of slow-paced primitive but deeply enchanting Raw Black Metal, with weird guitar work and a very unsettling tone, almost nauseating in a good way, joined in by the Industrial-influenced drums and percussion with various metallic objects. Another excellent piece of deathly trance. Starcave Nebula present here their 4th split release. The duo of these Outerspace People deliver again an ultra raw, frantic outburst of Trance Raw Black Metal, delivered with ebullient drumming and oblique riffing that reaches for the stars. The second half is particularly pleasing, with an almost calm after the impending cosmic cataclysm, with rather beautiful and almost relaxing rffs, despite their rawness and dissonance, somewhat reminiscing with Carved Cross.
