“You Will Also Go Back to Stone Age“ | Hezbollah Chief Hurls Back Warning At Israel In War Of Words

Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah has warned Israel that it “will also go back to the stone age“ if it attacks Lebanon. The remark came on Aug. 14, the anniversary of the latest war in 2006 between Israel and the Lebanese armed group. Nasrallah also said it would take “a few high-precision missiles” for Iran-backed Hezbollah to destroy targets. The comment was a part of tit-for-tat threats following similar Israeli remarks as border tensions brew. Last week, Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant had threatened to send Lebanon “back to the stone age” if Hezbollah escalates tensions. The comments come amid increased tensions along the border area between Israel and Lebanon, which remain technically at war. Recent weeks have seen face-offs between Hezbollah operatives and Israeli troops across the fortified frontier.
