Use of Pronouns I, You, He and She - Learn How to Use the Pronouns - English Grammar Lessons

In this lesson, we will learn what are pronouns and how to use them. The main focus of this lesson is on the pronouns ’I’, ’You’, ’He’ and ’She’. These pronouns are words used to replace a person’s name. They take the place of one or more nouns and hence they are called pronouns. ’I’ is used to denote one’s self in singular form. This is called first person. ’You’ is used to address the person to whom one is talking to, in both singular and plural form. It is called second person. ’He’ and ’She’ are used in the third person context to denote someone else in singular form. They are used to address someone other than the person who is talking and the person who is listening. ’He’ is used for male gender and ’She’ is used for female gender. This lesson has examples and sample conversations which will make you understand how to use ’I’, ’You’, ’He’ and ’She’.
