This is as far east as Oasis would travel in Europe until 2007 when Noel and Gem went to Moscow. Oasis rarely ventured into East-Central Europe. They would play a few times in Austria and Czechia but that’s it. The Sziget Festival is a massive festival that takes place on an island in the Danube river in Budapest. The festival that year had a reported attendance of 324,000 people that year. From 1996-2001, the festival was sponsored by Pepsi, and the name was changed to the “Pepsi Sziget Festival.“ This gig is already on youtube, but this adds a good 2.5 minutes for a more complete recording.
