Stippling is one of the best speedpainting or time efficient methods that you can use to paint miniatures with a great result in no time. In this video you will learn how to stipple on your miniatures, so you can paint better and faster as well!
Unfortunately stippling is underutilized for the most part, but I have come to realize that stippling is one the most speedpainting friendly technique that you can use on your miniatures. Not only that you can use it to paint very nice blends on the miniatures, but if you thin your paint enough, you can still get very smooth gradients or even paint non metallic metal. Of course, stippling is best used in conjunction with other miniature painting techniques for the best result, but even stippling alone can get you very far!
As you can see, you can be very rough here, but even this “new“ space marine armor can be painted by stippling it. Since this technique has a great control over the paint and applied layer, I would say this miniature painting technique is taking the best from drybrushing in terms of speed and layering/glazing in terms of control you have.
