Mike Reed plays a Summer-like “Sunny side of the Street“ on his Hammond Organ

Yup, it’s actually 83 degrees here today and it was yesterday, as well. This is THE song for a day like today, “Sunny Side of the Street“, from 1930, with music composed by Jimmy McHugh and lyrics by Dorothy Fields. I played it on my first album in 1966, and it has remained a kind of theme song for me over the years. I love a nice fox-trot rhythm and pace, with Hammond Drawbar exercises and Leslie speaker fun on this beautiful Sunday afternoon. Okay gang, let’s remember, “Life is Good“ and keep playing those organs, pianos, and keyboards. Practice makes perfect, my grandmother always said, and she was right. Give it all you’ve got. Happy Sunday, and thanks for listening to my music. 4/24/2022. 😎🌴🌴
