The Totskoye nuclear exercise was a military exercise undertaken by the Soviet army to explore defensive and offensive warfare during nuclear war in 1954. This video was created to report the results of usage of nuclear weapon in near combat. Over 45 000 soldiers were involved in drills, over 10 000 civilians were also radioactively contaminated. Desert Rock exercises (1951-1957) were a somewhat comparable series of American exercises.
