This performance took place on season 3 of Everlasting Classics TV Program (Classic Yong Liu Chuan--in Chinese) which premiered on China Central Television (CCTV) on January 26, the second day of the Chinese New Year. The song was recorded on Jan. 8, 2020. The song is based on the poetry of Zhang Jiuling of the Tang Dynasty. The poem was written to comfort friends who are about to travel a long journey. The main objective of this show is to popularize the Chinese traditional fine arts among the young people through pop culture by having pop stars sing the texts of ancient poetry out to the audience.
