Double sword Improv -Anna, Melody and Deenya - Nov 2022

Anna Sollini gets to perform with half of Sisterhood Al Sayf!! Melody Bustillos is my sword dance teacher, friend and mentor, and Ive always been in awe of seeing her performances with her sword troupe Sisterhood Al Sayf, of which the lovely Deenya is also a member. So of course, i jumped at the chance to do an informal completely improvised performance with them both when i met them in Freiburg in November 2022. With so much gratitude to Virginie Violett, my fellow European Sword Mistress, who organised the day of workshops, evening hafla and videoed this performance. Please keep in mind that before this performance we had danced all day (10 hours!) with heavy swords, learning so much from Melody, including floorwork, so we were utterly exhausted but happy to be together at this point.
