(Forfar, 9 July 1946 - London, 19 February 1980) Today we remember the birth of Ronald Belford “Bon“ Scott, the legendary singer of AC/DC. He was born in Forfar, Scotland, and lived in Kirriemuir until the age of 6, when he emigrated with his family to Australia. He grew up in Perth, where he studied drums and bagpipes in the local Scottish band. After his first band, Spektors (1966), he formed the Valentines, as a co-singer, along with Vince Lovegrove. The Valentines, active between 1967 and 1970, recorded several original songs, covers and other writings by George Young of Easybeats, including “Peculiar Hole in the Sky“ which entered the local top 5. During his time in the group, Bon was one of the first Australian rockers to be charged with possession of marijuana. Hi, thanks for watching our video about Bon Scott!
