The 1904 (more lyrical) Caruso recording of the aria “Je crois entendre encore“ / “Mi par d’udir ancor“ (1904 rendition sung in Italian) has become a legend and has been used in films like Woody Allen’s “Match Point.“ - Listen to it here: Caruso re-recorded this aria in 1916 (7 December 1916) along with the aria “De mon amie, fleur endormie“ from the same Bizet opera.
