Founded in 1991 by Dr. Jane Goodall and a group of Tanzania students, Roots & Shoots is a global network of tens of thousands of young people in 110 countries who share a desire to create a better world. Through Roots & Shoots, young people identify problems in their communities and take action by planning and implementing community service projects on behalf of people, animals and the environment.
