The Bashful Boys (1935)

No titles. The Bashful Boys in a comedy sketch with no words called ’In Search of A Job’. Probably filmed in Pathe Studio, London. The Bashful Boys (two men), stand outside a door marked ’Boy Wanted’. They begin to tussle and fight with each other. In the course of their struggles, their coats get hopelessly tangled and mixed up. They finally sort themselves out, although each now wears the other’s coat. By this time, the ’Boy Wanted’ sign has been taken down and they both walk off. The music on the soundtrack, played throughout, is ’Ruffles, Feathers and Glad Rags’ (or could be just ’Glad Rags’). It’s a piece of music played regularly in the Pathe cinemagazines of this era. (Some scratching on this item). This was originally an item in Pathe Sound Pictorial PSP 907. This version also exists in ’Pathetone Parade of 1940’ (check for best quality). FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV.
