How To Forge A Naginata - Ghost of Tsushima

This is my entry for the Dirty Smith Zombie Apocalypse Weapon Challenge2018 #dirtysmithza4 For a long time, I’ve been wanting to make a Naginata and this challenge was the perfect opportunity to do it. I used 50mm wide, 6mm thick C130/W1 High Carbon Steel to forge the blade. This steel has to be quenched in water at 780°C/1436°F and tempered for two hours around 230°C/460°F according to my supplier specifications. I also used a 35mm round piece of wood and turned three aluminium/aluminum round stock on the metal lather to make the decorative parts. To finish, a little piece of brown suede around the shaft and it was done. If you have any question, feel free to leave it in the comment section of the video.
