NIMONA | Nimona Animation Test | Animation Breakdowns | 3D Animation Internships

A little more early #nimona development work. . I was incredibly fortunate to be brought on to Nimona at the very beginning (back in late 2016). I was already a big fan of @gingerhazing ’s comic, and I got to spend 3 years helping to shepherd and develop this character, under then director @posborne, alongside an outstanding team of artists at Blue Sky — I have a lot of love for this character, and despite the film’s complicated journey, I’m very happy to see her out in the world… . This was one of the first physicality tests with the official asset once Jin and I got Nimona’s rig in working order. This essentially became our “Big Hero Chair Test”, we had each of the primary characters exiting a castle/fortress in a completely different state of mind and physicality. Nimona of course would be casual, even with her arm on fire and give a little salute on her way out… the rest are just a few iterations of early run cycles . More tests to come. .
