Produced by Porta Films in collaboration with La Canada Elementary School in California, the scripted film depicts various innocent scenarios that could potentially turn dangerous or even deadly. The film is composed of a compilation of scenes of children at play that seem harmless before the narrator delves into what danger could potentially lie ahead. As the narrator states “being safe is being alert, careful, courteous, and considerate.” Opening credits (0:12). Kids get out of bus (0:34). Scott walks up to wood paneled American-colonial style house, calls for Tony who is lounging on his bed, shows off new hamster (0:48). Tony pauses at staircase, clip of hologram Tony falling down the stairs from rushing and not being safe (1:10). Tony leisurely walks down the stairs, safely (1:43). Anne sits in front of shed and pets dog, skips through line of laundry to house (2:12). Anne in kitchen, observes mom cooking dinner, investigates double broiler while mother busy with KitchenAid (2:29). Clip of hologram Anne distracted while carrying hot pot, pot falls from counter and spills boiling water (3:23). Anne slowly walks with concentration to set pot down, plays with dog on kitchen floor (3:46). Steve and Dick sit on floor of bedroom watch toy train (4:06). Boys rough house, compete for who gets to put plug in socket - clip of hologram boys getting electrocuted from faulty plug before clip of them doing it safely plays (4:45). Sarah and Susan seen playing dress up with dolls on bedroom floor through window, girls find rollerblades and head outside - clip of hologram of the girls’ mother tripping over sprawled out toys (5:49). The girls skate around front yard of family home (7:23). Bobby and George play with toy cowboy pistol; George takes Bobby into house to show off his father’s rifle, POV of staring down barrel of George’s gun - clip of hologram of boys, George shoots Bobby (7:28).
