Elton John Gives a Shout-Out to Alice In Chains Onstage at Tacoma Dome concert (September 18, 2019)

Elton John gives a shout-out to the members of Alice In Chains who were watching his concert at the Tacoma Dome arena in Tacoma, Washington on September 18, 2019. Elton John played piano on the Alice In Chains’ song “Black Gives Way to Blue“, from the album of the same name released in 2009. The song is a tribute to the band’s late lead singer, Layne Staley. The first concert that Layne attended was Elton’s when he was a kid, and Jerry Cantrell’s first album was Elton John’s Greatest Hits (1974), a gift that he received from his dad when he was 10 years old. The first part of the video was shared by Mike Inez on his social media.
