BREAKING: China’s Long March-3B rocket blasts PAKSAT-MM1, Pakistan’s communication satellite
China successfully launched a multi-mission communication satellite for Pakistan using a Long March-3B rocket, with the launch taking place at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in the southwestern province of Sichuan, at 8:12 p.m. Thursday.
The satellite has entered its planned orbit.
The launch was the 524th mission of the Long March rocket series.
Mission insiders hailed the feat as a landmark in technological cooperation between the two countries. They expect the successful deployment of the satellite to significantly boost Pakistan’s comprehensive social and economic development, ensure the security of its communications, and enhance its aerospace technology and industrial capabilities.
Additionally, the satellite’s launch is anticipated to play a major role in advancing and promoting China’s foreign strategies, such as the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and the accelerated construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
