Training Muay Thai Elbow Strikes with Lumpinee Champ Sam-A
This video showcases some work I did with Sam-A sharpening up my elbow strikes. Sam-A is a fighter who is known for his lightning sharp elbows and I wanted to try and learn as much as I could from him.
One thing we were working on was coming over the guard by tapping down your opponent’s guard before you throw the elbow. By doing this at a fast pace you can land an elbow before your opponent can recover his guard.
Another great place to land elbows is throw the middle of your opponent’s guard with a uppe
