Common ownership is necessary because fellowship is impossible in the daily working lives of men and women while the industrial life of the community is directed from the top in the interests of profit. Big business holds the whip hand politically until the people have declared for common ownership as a whole. Imperialism and power politics must go. Those subject people who are ready for it must be granted independence immediately
