The slide guitar maestro with the growling voice has been leading his band, the Delaware Destroyers, for over three decades of raunchy blues and good old fashioned rock ’n roll with no signs of slowing down. Their latest release, 2120 South Michigan Ave., is a collection of Thorogood’s trademark originals spiked with renditions of songs by the blues and rock pioneers like Howlin’ Wolf, Muddy Waters and Bo Diddley that inspired him, and named for the address of Chess Records where those songs were first recorded.
