Primitive Emergency Survival Shelter in the Mountains (Season 2, episode 8)

The ability to quickly build an emergency survival shelter is a fundamental skill that everyone who spends time outdoors should learn. Building a functional and warm shelter from only the natural materials in a particular environment is not only a practical skill but also a confidence building skill that brings tremendous satisfaction. On a recent wild food harvest trip to the mountains I made a shelter that would keep me warm and safe at night. I found plenty of natural materials nearby and in this video I show exactly how I made it.
