’We want more! Voor Queen en vaderland III’ is a new book on Queen by Dutch author Edger Hamer. It was released on September 5, 2021, to coincide with what would have been Freddie Mercury’s 75th birthday. That is why we hightlight this great Queen song ’Killer Queen’ today. ’Killer Queen’ is a song from the British rock band Queen. With this fourth single, they reached second place in the English charts at the beginning of 1975 and became known to the general public. The song was written by singer and pianist Freddie Mercury and appeared on the album ’Sheer Heart Attack’. Mercury has indicated that while writing this song he was influenced by early songs from The Beatles and The Beach Boys and textually by Noël Coward. This was Queens first and only visit to the Toppop studios in the Netherlands. It was first broadcast on 4 December 1974.
