As part of St Ethelburga’s Celebration of Peace and Reconciliation for the community of St Ethelburga’s Born in Sarajevo, Amira is one of the outstanding singers of sevdah (meaning ’longing’) a distinct music tradition from the Balkans. Tigran, from Armenia, is a master of the duduk. Both are regular contributors to St Ethelburga’s world music programme.
