Today the Amazon Aquarium residents finally get revealed! The incredible, the infamous Pygocentrus natterei, aka the Red Bellied Piranha. Without question the most known fish from the Amazon basin. Demonized in film as terrifying aquatic monsters that unprovoked will tear flesh from your bones until nothing is left. However these stories are are only myths, fiction and couldn’t be further from the truth.
