Tiger scales a pole!

4 year old female Sumatran Tiger Indrah loves a bit of beef on the bone and is more than happy to leap up a tree to get some. To further encourage our tiger’s natural hunting abilities a new ’enrichment pole’ was installed enabling our keepers to easily place food treats up to 5 metres high. This video was shot from the public viewing area by Gary, a welder in Melbourne Zoo’s Works Department. He also did the editing! Oh and if anyone tells you to climb a tree to escape a tiger.....
