Outlast 2 | Full Game Walkthrough | No Commentary

The first Outlast took the horror gaming genre by storm. Though it did not necessarily introduce a lot of new gameplay mechanics, it DID offer a totally unique vibe and a polished product rarely seen by other similar games. The most noteworthy take with the game was of course the heavy use of nigh vision to help you maneuver in dark areas and give you that found footage feel. It also had some genuinely frightening and gross moments and they upped the ante by a tenfold with it’s sequel Outlast 2. Though the initial setup and story seems really interesting and suspenseful, it DOES unfortunately suffer from getting a bit too repetitious with it’s chasing sequences. A game like The Beast Inside has about 5 or 6 chasing sequences in a 5 hour game and this game has around 25 to 30 chase sequences. It honestly is a bit too much and takes away from the otherwise original setting and story. #horror #fullplaythrough #nocommentary
