My cover of Big Sur Moon, the studio version. Played at 150 BPM, all up-picked. Not quite at Buckethead speed (studio recording seems to be about 160 BPM), but the closest I could get.
I also tried to match the panning effect as close as possible (make sure to listen in stereo). I split out Buckethead’s original recording into separate left and right tracks and noticed that when the guitar moves to one channel, there is still reverb coming through the other channel. So I applied the reverb on a separate stereo track and kept it fixed at center pan, and then automated the panning of only the dry track.
